Join us for another Meet the Maker Wine Tasting at RSA House. This time we'll be joined by Italian winery Cantina Orsogna, a community of green-hearted winemakers in the foothills of the Maiella Mountains. The tasting will be conducted by Roberta Cicchitti, daughter of the founder of Cantina Orsogna.

About Cantina Orsogna

Cantina Orsogna is an award-winning Abruzzo cooperative specialising in native grapes of the region such as Montepluciano d`Abruzzo, Cococciola and Pecorino and also the traditional ‘Ancestrale’ wine making methods such as ‘Pet Nat’ sparkling and ‘Orange’ skin contact wines.

Orsogna are committed to the biodynamic principles by which they make their wine and have many certified Demeter biodynamic wines.

Orsogna`s Vola Vole wines are dedicated to the protection of bees. They are committed to safeguarding the vineyards` ecosystem so that bees are safe and far from pesticides and herbicides. They have been certified organic for 25 years and adhere to the biodiversity friend project. The finished wines are also heavily influenced by bees - the yeasts required to start fermentation are carefully selected from the pollen the bees collect from the natural wildlife surrounding the vineyards..

What you'll get:

  • a selection of wines to taste direct from Italy
  • snacks and nibbles to compliment
  • a depth of knowledge from the wine maker and ability to ask questions

It was good environment within the RSA Great Hall amongst of a group reasonably friendly participants with a drink and then get on the serious business of life drawing with a model and instructor. The session could be improved with more explicit explanations of the purpose behind the practical drawing exercise about poses just before the session.
